WEBSTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Volunteers spent their Saturday morning slicing grass and weeds across the West Webster Memorial on Puddle Street.
The memorial honors the lives of Tomasz Kaczowka and Michael Chiapperini who had been killed in an ambush moment responding to a fireplace in Webster on Puddle Street on Christmas Eve in 2012. Ted Scardino and Joe Hofstetter had been injured all over the ambush and survived.
Volunteers took this as a chance to pay their recognizes to Kaczowka and Chiapperini, honor their sacrifices, and to create certain their names weren't forgotten.
