On Saturday, cadets from the Thorold 128 Gliding Dragons Breeze Cadet Squadron got here right down to Beaverdams church to wash up the gardens of the heritage site

“Anytime that a community organization needs help, we will go out and lend a hand,” explains Captain Teresa Copses-Parker, in an interview with ThoroldToday. “In this case, we went and helped trim the grass and branches, and clean around the cenotaph and headstones.”

The struggle options into the squadron’s program of educating environmental stewardship and civic engagement.

“This particular weekend we were also tagging so we had our cadets out in the community fundraising,” says Copses-Parker. “But a lot of them also wanted to come out and help. Nobody is assigned. They volunteered to come out and that is part of the civic duty and community engagement that we spoke of within the program.”

At the eighth of June, the cadets are having their annual ceremonial evaluate which is a proper parade the place the cadets shall be known for his or her accomplishments within the ultimate date.
